David Baldacci: David Baldacci wurde 1960 in Virginia geboren, wo er heute lebt. Er wuchs in Richmond auf; sein Vater war Mechaniker und später Vorarbeiter bei einer Spedition, seine Mutter Sekretärin bei einer Telefongesellschaft. Baldacci studierte Politikwissenschaft an der Virginia Commonwealth University (B. A.) und Jura an der University of Virginia. Während des Studiums jobbte er u.a. als Staubsaugerverkäufer, Security-Guard, Konstrukteur und Dampfkesselreiniger.
